Job Summary

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a dynamic and creative Graphic Designer to join our marketing and communications team. This role is ideal for a design professional with a strong visual sense, motion graphics experience, and a proactive mindset. The successful candidate will develop high-quality visuals for digital, print, and multimedia platforms that reflect the University’s brand identity.

Note: Arabic language skills are a Must. Applications must include a portfolio; submissions without one will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design engaging visual content including posters, roll-ups, logos, catalogs, brochures, leaflets, and handbooks.
• Create short animations and motion graphics videos for marketing and institutional use.
• Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize and execute multimedia projects for digital, video, and print.
• Ensure brand consistency across all design outputs and communications.
• Translate ideas and marketing briefs into high-impact visuals aligned with campaign goals.
• Stay updated with current design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Advertising, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design and motion graphics.
• Strong design portfolio and motion graphics demo reel.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
• Strong understanding of design principles including layout, typography, and color theory.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Bilingual communication (English and Arabic).
• Prior experience in an academic or institutional setting is an advantage.

Work Environment:

• The position is based at the AUE campus in Dubai International Academic City.
• Occasional travel may be required for conferences or workshops related to institutional effectiveness and university rankings

Location: American University in the Emirates (AUE), Dubai International Academic City
Salary: AED 7,000 – 8,000 per month (based on experience and portfolio)
