• Dean of College of Business Administration

Education and Experience Requirements

• Earned PhD Degree from an Internationally Accredited University in the concern applied college
• Qualifications for appointment as minimum a tenured Associate Professor Rank in an academic department at the college from an Internationally Accredited University
• Strong academic Track record in research and teaching at a business college
• 3+ years of experience in key academic administrator position
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated increasing responsibility in strategic planning, fiscal management, resource allocation, and personnel supervision
• Inclusive and collegial management style able to establish relationships across a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including colleagues, students, and external bodies

The Deans shall report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs on general administrative and coordination functions, related to the various instructional programs and related services offered by AUE.

• 1.    Instructional Delivery (Teaching Performance) 
  a.    Present research and practice driven teaching and 
  b.    adapt to latest pedagogical techniques that stimulate students to inquiry and to encompass a broad and coherent body of knowledge, attaining the skills and competencies through engaging delivery techniques and development of appropriate assessments.
  2.    Instructional Management
  Effectively manage the instructional processes 
  3.    Assessment and Evaluation 
  a.    Evaluating students’ performance and grading 
  b.    Provide clear assessment criteria that reflects course content and its learning outcomes.
  c.     Set expectations to students and avoid cognitive biasness.
  4.    Curriculum Development and Review
  Contributes to regular curriculum reviewing and improving the existing curriculum for quality and effectiveness.
  A)    For quality:
  a.    Currency and relevancy of the theories and practice in the field
  b.    Intellectual rigor appropriate to the level of the degree program
  B)    For Effectiveness
  a.    Increasingly complex presentation of theories, principles, and practice
  b.    Increasingly complex levels of analysis and development of competencies
  c.    Application of theories and principles.

  5.    Research, and/or Scholarship
  Actively engage in scholarly activities and publish peer-reviewed articles in area of specialization with increased citations thus contributing to the Mission of the University
  6.    Professional Development
  Acquire latest academic techniques, discipline and professional certification, technology related development, and leadership development through attending in-campus and out-campus workshops, seminars and training.
  7.    Academic Advising and Academic Success
  Provide academic advising and guidance the students in the program learning outcomes, curriculum planning and career planning.
  8.    Service
  Participate by working in a task force or workgroup to accomplish assignment or project such as accreditation, recruitment, research administration, consultation, and service to university, discipline and to community.
  Engaging academic partners as per the signed memorandum of understanding in several activities like joint research, webinars, trainings, workshops, student exchange, faculty exchange, curriculum review.
  9.    Academic Administration
  Provide oversight for efficient administration of the College.
  10.    Academic Program Quality
  Ensure quality teaching, conducive learning environment, and adequate support services for all academic programs offered in the College.
  11.    Academic Program – Sustainability
   Manage the viability and sustainability of the academic programs to meet the needs of the
  stakeholders and compliance requirements
  12.    Academic Support
   Coordinate and provide adequate resources for faculty, student, and support staff for effective.
  operation of the College
  13.    Advancement and Fundraising
  a.    Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with the university's advancement and fundraising team to identify and secure funding from various sources to support the College mission.
  b.    Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for the institution.
  14.    Perform any duties as assigned by the superiors.
