The College of Business Administration at the American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites applications from qualified Ph.D. holders for Full-Time Faculty positions at the Associate Professor, and Full Professor levels.

The successful candidates will be expected to teach in one or more of the following areas within the College of Business Administration:

Teaching Load: 12 credit hours per academic semester

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with professional expertise through teaching, assessing student work, academic advising, participating in administrative and committee activities, and contributing to professional and community service.

Qualifications & Education

• Ph.D. in Management or a closely related field from an accredited university in the United States or a recognized international university accredited by a recognized accreditation body.
• Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. by the time of recruitment.
• A minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate-level study in the relevant field.
• A minimum of three articles published in Scopus-indexed journals or five articles in peer-reviewed journals within the past five years.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or professional experience at an internationally accredited university.
• Proven record of excellence in teaching at the baccalaureate and graduate levels.

Skills / Training / Knowledge

• Knowledge and experience in curriculum development and review.
• Demonstrated record of professional accomplishment, including peer-reviewed publications.
• Active research agenda and interest in research collaboration with other faculty members.
• Ability to integrate web-based and digital technologies into the classroom.
• Willingness to provide service to the University and the College.
• Excellent English proficiency and communication skills for faculty teaching in English.
• Excellent Arabic proficiency and communication skills for faculty teaching in Arabic, where applicable.

Responsibilities

1. Delivery Instructional (Teaching Performance)

• Deliver research- and practice-driven teaching.
• Apply current pedagogical techniques that stimulate students' inquiry and engagement.
• Provide students with a broad and coherent body of knowledge while developing relevant skills and competencies through effective teaching and appropriate assessment methods.

2. Instructional Management

• Effectively manage the instructional process and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.

3. Assessment and Evaluation

• Evaluate student performance and assign grades in accordance with established academic standards.
• Provide clear assessment criteria that reflect course content and intended learning outcomes.
• Set clear expectations for students and ensure fairness and objectivity in assessment practices.

4. Curriculum Development and Review

Contribute to the regular review and improvement of existing curricula to ensure quality and effectiveness.

Quality:

• Ensure the currency and relevance of theories and practices within the field.
• Maintain intellectual rigor appropriate to the level of the degree program.

Effectiveness:

• Promote increasingly complex presentation and application of theories, principles, and practices.
• Support increasingly complex levels of analysis and competency development.
• Facilitate the practical application of theories and principles.

5. Professional Development

• Maintain and develop current academic knowledge, teaching methodologies, disciplinary expertise, professional certifications, technology-related skills, and leadership capabilities through participation in internal and external workshops, seminars, conferences, and training programs.
