Physics Trainer – Preparatory Program

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) seeks an experienced Physics Trainer to join its academic team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality preparatory instruction in Physics to support students’ academic readiness and success in undergraduate programs. The Physics Trainer will help students build strong foundational knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities required for university-level studies.

Job Type: Full Time

The Physics Trainer will be responsible for teaching the following preparatory courses:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Physics at university, foundation, or preparatory level.
  • Strong knowledge of introductory and applied Physics concepts.
  • Experience teaching preparatory, foundation, or bridging programs is highly preferred.
  • Ability to teach diverse student groups with varying academic backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

 

Job Description

  • Deliver Physics preparatory courses that build students’ conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and examinations aligned with AUE academic standards.
  • Support students who meet entry requirements but require additional academic reinforcement in Physics.
  • Provide academic guidance and tutoring to students to enhance performance and retention.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback and academic support.
  • Review, revise, and enhance the Physics preparatory curriculum, assessments, and learning activities.
  • Coordinate with Mathematics and Computing trainers to ensure curriculum alignment.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and reports as required by the university.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and academic development initiatives.
