The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking an experienced Arabic Trainer to join its academic team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality preparatory Arabic instruction to support students’ academic readiness and success in undergraduate programs.

The Arabic Trainer will help students develop strong foundational language skills, academic communication abilities, reading and writing proficiency, and critical thinking skills required for university-level studies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education, Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited university. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Arabic at the university, foundation, or preparatory level.
  • Strong knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic, grammar, reading, writing, and academic communication.
  • Experience teaching preparatory, foundation, or bridging programs is highly preferred.
  • Ability to teach diverse student groups with varying academic backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver Arabic preparatory courses that develop students’ language proficiency and academic communication skills.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and examinations aligned with AUE academic standards.
  • Support students who meet entry requirements but require additional academic reinforcement in Arabic.
  • Provide academic guidance, tutoring, and support to enhance student performance and retention.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback and academic support.
  • Review, revise, and enhance the Arabic preparatory curriculum, assessments, and learning activities.
  • Coordinate with other preparatory trainers to ensure curriculum alignment and academic consistency.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, student progress reports, and other required documentation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and academic development initiatives.
